There were 3 guys in a plane. The plane was about to crash.
They each had to throw one item out:

The 1st guy threw out an apple.
The 2nd one threw out a bannana.
The 3rd one threw out a bomb.

There were 3 guys below them. 2 were crying, 1 was laughing.
A guy went up to the 1st one and asked, "Why are you crying?"
He answered, "an Apple hit me on the head.

He went up to the 2nd one and asked, "Why are you crying?"
He answered, "a Bannana hit me on the head."

He went up to the 3rd one and asked, "Why are you laughing?"
He answered, "I farted and my house blew up!"

A scientist gets on a train to go to New York. His cabin also has a poor farmer in it. To pass the time the scientist decides to play a game with the guy.

`I will ask you a question and if you get it wrong, you have to pay me one dollar. Then you ask me a question, and if I get it wrong, you get ten dollars. You ask me a question first.` The farmer thinks for a while.

`I know. What has three legs, takes ten hours to climb up a palm tree, and ten seconds to get back down?` The scientist is confused and thinks long and hard about the question. Finally, the train ride is coming to an end. As it pulls into the station, the scientist takes out ten dollars and gives it to the farmer.

`I don`t know. What has three legs, takes ten hours to get up a palm tree and ten seconds to get back down?`

The farmer takes the ten dollars and puts it into his pocket. He then takes out one dollar and hands it to the scientist.

`I don`t know.`

Juan comes up to(1) the Mexican border on his bicycle. He`s got two large bags over his shoulders. The guard stops him and says, `What`s in the bags?`

`Sand,` answered Juan.

The guard says, `We`ll just see about that. Get off the bike(2).` The guard detains(3) Juan overnight and has the sand analyzed, only to discover that there is nothing but pure sand in the bags. He releases Juan and lets him cross the border(4).

A week later, the same thing happens. The guard asks, `What`s in the bags?`

`Sand,` says Juan.

The guard does his thorough examination and discovers that the bags contain nothing but sand. He gives the sand back to Juan, and Juan crosses the border on his bicycle.

This sequence of events(5) is repeated every day for three years. Finally, Juan doesn`t show up one day and the guard meets him in a Cantina in Mexico.

Amelia's story

Amelia has been going through1 a difficult time at work, so she decided to cheer herself up by going in for2 a competition. The prize was a luxury holiday in the Caribbean. Amelia has had to go without3 a holiday for several years now, so she really wanted to win. The competitor was to write a story beginning with 'suddenly the light went out4...'

The problem was that Amelia could not think of an idea for her story. 'How can I go about5 getting a good idea?', she asked me. 'It must be something special so that the judges go for6 my story over all the others.' I suggest she went to the library to go through7 some books of short stories. - she might get some ideas there. So she went off8 to see what she could find.

She soon found some great stories. She read one and then another and she went on9 reading all afternoon. Then she found noticed a strange smell and suddenly the light went out. She looked up and saw that the library was on fire. Of course, that gave her the idea for her story. I hope she wins.

When the Germans arrive, they go to the first tree where the English guy is, and shout, `We know you`re up there; come down.` The English guy, thinking fast, says, `Tweet, tweet, tweet...`

The Germans, thinking that it`s a bird, move on to the next tree where the French guy is and once again shout, `We know you`re up there; come down.`

The French guy, thinking fast, says, `Hoot, Hoot, Hoot...` The Germans, thinking that it`s an owl, move on to the next tree where the Polish guy is and once again shout, `We know you`re up there; come down.`

The Polish guy thinks for a while and then says, `Moo, moo, moo...`
